Dr. Salah Rubayi holds the positions of Chair of Surgery and Chief of the Pressure Ulcer Management Program at Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center. As a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and International College of Surgeons, he is actively involved in spinal injury organizations in the US and Europe. At the University of Southern California, he serves as a Professor of Clinical Surgery in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Rubayi, a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Spinal Cord Medicine, has authored numerous articles and a 2015 textbook on reconstructive surgery for pressure ulcers in spinal cord injury patients. His research focuses on spinal cord injury and pressure ulcer management and prevention.

Gary Haynes, MD, PhD, is the Merryl and Sam Israel Chair in Anesthesiology and a practicing anesthesiologist at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans. A graduate of Illinois College, the University of Cincinnati, and Case Western Reserve University, he completed his US residency in Anesthesiology at the Medical University of South Carolina. A diplomate of the American Board of Anesthesiology, he previously held positions at the Medical University of South Carolina and Saint Louis University and served as a medical director with a national anesthesia practice management company.

Dr. Martain Pierre Jean Loonen is an accomplished medical director, clinical manager, and plastic surgeon, specializing in plastic, reconstructive, cosmetic, hand, and wrist surgery. With additional expertise in post-bariatric surgery, hair restoration surgery, burn management, and medical management, he is a recognized fellow of the Collegium Chirurgicum Plasticum and a member of the Dutch Society of Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Loonen, the youngest Ph.D. candidate at the University of Utrecht, holds a Doctoral Degree in Plastic Surgery with outstanding honors and serves as a healthcare investment and regulatory consultant for the Gerson Lehrman Group in New York.
